TJ Rear Coil Correction Kit
Got the Bowing Spring Blues? Our TJ Rear Coil Correction Kit is the answer.
Our new TJ Rear Coil Correction Kit fixes a common problem on lifted Jeeps...bowing springs. The OEM spring perches were set at an angle which is great for no lift but once you start to lift your vehicle, the angles change resulting in bowing spring that can be permenantly damaged an even unseated during articulation. Our correction kit eliminated the factory angle allowing any lift height with no bowing. We even add provisions if you want to do a 1 inch stretch.
Features:
CNC Laser cut and CNC bent from 3/16" thick steel
CAD designed with models directly from Chrysler to fit perfectly
Choose between STOCK LOCATION or 1 inch STRETCH
Factory tracbar mount etched cutout
Etched alignment mark
Accepts factory jounce cup and bolt
Side specific etching
Works for TJs, and LJs and can be used in YJs for a coil conversion.
MADE IN THE USA!
NOTE: This kit requires general welding and fabrication skills. Welding should only be done by a competent welder. Artec Industries implies no guarantees or warranties and is not liable for improper installation.
*Some grinding and fitment may be required when installing this kit. Every frame varies slightly and some fabrication may be required.

the product fit great! I like the alignment marks so they fit in the proper place without any guess work. Heavy steel construction should outlast the factory frame. I used the stock mounting location but could see the stretch version helping those with custom suspensions. The captured nuts are a great addition and adds confidence that the nut will not spin loose. I highly recommend this product and have used other Artec products with great success. Rob M.

Top tier service
This was the first time I have ever done a mod to my own Jeep that required welding. I consider myself a grinding pro more than a welder, but needed to correct those springs to get rid of the sag, and stop replacing springs. I not only received my order quickly (3days) during a pandemic, but I called with questions and a lot of hesitation. I not only got a live person, but he answered my questions, and left me feeling confident. I completed the job in one afternoon, and I am more than pleased with the quality and construction. The instructions were good, and customer service was amazing. Will definitely be back for any future needes!

I love this kit. Perfect fit, well designed and thought out. My LJ has a 2.5” rear lift, and a 3.5” belly-up, making the rear axle pinion angled at equivalent to 6” of lift. With that kind of rotation on my axle, it was necessary to relocate the upper coil bracket to align my bump stops. This did just that. The only thing I wish it had is in the flat plate, I wish it had 2 mounting holes for the standard location and the 1” stretch location. It’s nice how the upper portion allows the 2 mounting location options, but it would be nice to be able to change it from one location to the other after the kit has been installed. But once it is welded up, you only have access to the one mounting location you decided with when assembling.

Mr.
Great quality, look, and functionality! The instructions were adequate but could have included a couple extra details. For example; the fuel lines are absolutely in the way and probably need to be disconnected to get them out of the way fully. I also wasn't sure if I needed to weld the circle cutouts, which I ended up doing to keep water out. The last thing I will mention is if your OEM bump stop are rusted out you will need to figure out another solution before completing this installation.

Nice product
I have used this kit in a couple of builds now and really like it. Install is straight forward or straight up and down which ever you like. I do like that is can be used with both triangulated and non triangulated rear suspension set ups. Well done #inartecwetruss(t)

06 TJ coil correction
These are really beefy hardware. I'm super impressed with the fit and like how there is a scribe mark for removing part of the bracket if you still have the factory track bar mount, makes it 1000% percent easier to install. I only have 3.5" springs but since I did the tummy tuck I had to move my pinion up even more, these really help to keep the spring as vertical as possible...certainly not bowed as much anymore.

Just one tip
I would recommend this if you still running coils. Until I can afford coilovers. But I like the flexing better than the buckling due to the Engle before this correction. The only thing to watch for is that awful creaking after installing them. There is a pinch weld on the tub where it gets really close to the inner part of the bracket. I thought there was enough space but after welding and hitting the trails. It seems to have closed the gap and is now rubbing. I just bent that pinch weld away from the bracket to give it more room. Or you can grind it down before you weld it in place to get the proper clearance.

My son and I installed the relocators in about 4 hours total. The kit raised the rear of the jeep at least 1 1/2". The jeep no longer bottoms out with riders in the rear seat. Easy to follow instructions and well marked parts made installation simple. Thanks for a well engineered product.

Q:
What is the difference between the stock and stretch? I didnt see the option when I first ordered and plan on stretching the rear. How does the correction bracket kit fit when you are still running the rear factory track bar bracket?
Asked by:
Will Monroe
- 10/27/2017
A:
the stretch is an optional hole built into the bracket that allows you to position it back 1" . If you are retaining the factory frame side trackbar bracket there is a laser etched line on the bracket indicating where you would need to trim off a small section so it will clear the bracket .
