JK Front 3 Link Suspension
The Jeep Wrangler JK (Model Years 2007 - 2015) is a vehicle highly recognized in the Offroad world and is tops in Aftermarket support.

As such there are a lot of off the shelve options to help you build your Jeep, but what about those that want to do more of the work on their own?

Well that is where Artec Industries comes in. For years we have been providing builders of all kinds with some of the toughest products on the market and we are continuing this with the JK Market.

We have built our 2013 Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited, dubbed the ARTECON, to tackle the toughest trails around and we push it hard to show you that our products perform.

Over the past few years we have developed a number of Heavy Duty Components for the JK and here is a breakdown of how they can be used to build your very own 3 Link Kit.

The JK 3 Link starts with the HD Crossmember with integrated Link Mounts. In addition to the added strength across the frame, we have added in 2 5/8" wide mounts. This will allow you to bolt in your lower control arms and this width is the most common for Catridge-style Joints and 1.25" Heims with Misalignments.

The 3-Link Frame Mount Bracket provides a stable and adequate mounting location for the upper link for the suspension. It mounts far back on the frame and utilizes a link nearly as long as the lowers to give the suspension unmatched articulation.

On the axle side the Front Axle Truss for 3 Link is the base. When you add this to your axle you not only add strength the the axle, but you also provide a well thought out place to install the Adjustable Upper Control Arm Mount. The Adj. Upper Mount takes the place of the factory sheet metal upper and fork style mount and allow you to run a flex style joint.

To finish up the Mounting ensemble we offer the Lower Control Arm Brackets. These are far superior to the flimsy factory mounts and will provide years of Hardcore abuse.

There are a few more pieces of the system that have variables, those being Links, Joints, springs/Shocks or Coilovers.

For links, we have chosen to go with a custom set of 7075 machined links and 1.25" Rod Ends and misalignments, but DOM lowers can also be used. We offer the 3 Link Tube and End Kit, which provides all of the items you would need to build your own links. This kit even includes the stuff to build your own Trackbar/Panhard.

As for Springs and Shocks, there are a ton of different choices on the Market and enough information to make your head spin, but just choose a quality item with the specifications that fit your needs and you will be good. On the ARTECON we used Rock Krawler 5.5" Multiple Rate Coil Springs and ADS Tuned Shocks and love the ride qualities both Off and On Road.  Lowers are 36.25" and the upper is 35.25". measured eye to eye center with rod ends.

We hope this gives you some good information to start planning out your build and if you have any questions about any of this, please feel free to call our Technical Support Team at 855-278-3299 or send us an email at [email protected] Our team looks forward to helping you on your next build.
